We tend to make interesting things

Digital technologies, software and hardware, are developing faster than ever and these new tools are affecting art, artists and consumers from creation to distribution to consumption and contemplation. When everyone with a laptop is an electronic composer, how does that affect music? When anyone with an iPhone and a few apps can take pretty pictures, how does that change our collective perception of photography? When all are creators, what then of creation?

New documentary PressPausePlay from directors David Dworsky and Victor Kohler delves into these issues and more with insightful interviews from an international selection of creatives. As author Seth Godin says in the film, “The industry is dead. There’s never been a better time to be an artist.”

Watch the trailer as well as extended-cut interviews with Michel Gondry and Moby.
